Pottery jar by Rupert Carabin (French, 1862-1932) has a free-form base replicating a large rock, with a nude maiden in a vulnerable position resting on the top. Box is finished in brown and green glaze and is signed on the underside with impressed conjoined initials "FRC 11". Very Good to Excellent. Provenance: From a Portsmouth NH Collection, From Macklowe Gallery, NYC.
