Two barrel sets, one .28 and the other .410, are both fitted with raised, ventilated ribs marked "GRAND AMERICAN DOUBLES CHAMPION 1986". There are 3 - 1/2" triangles of scroll at breech ends, and tops of left barrels are marked "MODEL 21" and with CSM trademark as well as chamber and gauge information. Engine turned barrel flats are stamped with matching serial numbers, as well as gauge and chamber information. Both sets are choked IC and Mod. Blued flat side action has water table milled to lighten, and this area is marked with manufacturer, as well as gauges. Action features non-automatic safety, and gold plated selective single trigger. Action is engraved in "Grand American" style with near full coverage varying sized scroll as counterpoint to oval game scenes with birds rendered in flush gold inlay; flushing quail is on left side, and a flying grouse is on right. A pair of pheasant are on trigger plate, and a flying dove is on trigger guard bow. Fences are semi relief engraved with oak leaves and acorns. Striking XXXX crotch figured American walnut capped pistol grip buttstock measures 14 - 1/2" over skeleton steel buttplate. Stock features "B" carving with fleur-de-lis, ribbons, and flourishes, and this treatment extends to central wood of butt. Grip cap is gold inlaid "GRAND AMERICAN" and a gold oval on toe line is engraved "TAG". Matching long beavertail ejector forend with inset ebony tip and engine turned internals services both barrel sets. Gun is housed in good quality tan leather case with stitched leather corners which has reddish canvas leather trimmed outer cover. Case is lined in burgundy cloth and has CSMC label in lid. Bottom section is partitioned for action and two barrel sets, and contains snap caps for both gauges, oil bottle, and cleaning equipment. CONDITION: Excellent, very close to new, with only a few very light handling and assembly marks in all original factory finishes. Most notably three or four scratches on left side of butt, and a rub in checkering on left side of forend. Mechanically excellent. Case is excellent, with a few rubs through in interior cloth.
