Lot consists of (A) Japanese Naval Officer's sword in brass mounts, fish skin grip, wire wrap. Details of blade unknown as it is seized in scabbard. Retains original bullion knot. CONDITION: Seized in scabbard. Scabbard is greatly deteriorated. Mounts are fair. (B) A long D guard Japanese officer's sword, 30 - 1/2" blade, narrow fuller, no visible temper, one piece construction. Brass D guard with nice patination. Wood grip with wire wrap. Nickel plated scabbard with one ring. CONDITION: Blade is stained, hilt is unpolished dark brass, wood grip is good but wire is sprung. Scabbard rates very good with only light corrosion throughout. (C) A Japanese officer's sword with 30" blade, serial number 57517. Steel hilt with checkered wood grip en suite with checkered pommel. Standard pattern. Spring clip on left side fits into scabbard. Blued steel scabbard with one carrying ring. CONDITION: Blade is good, has been sharpened. Hilt is crisp retaining considerable original blue. Nagoya arsenal stamp on guard. Scabbard retains considerable original blue with a few door pinches toward drag.
