Matching serial numbers on frame, trigger guard, backstrap, cylinder pin, cylinder, barrel, and wedge. Cut for shoulder stock. Rebated cylinder has excellent naval engagement scene. Frame stamped "COLTS PATENT". Inspector stamps include "O" on backstrap, "D" on barrel. One piece walnut grips with excellent inspector stamps including "HWW" Henry W. Wilcox in rectangle on left grip, "JT" John Taylor in rectangle on right grip. Iron backstrap, brass trigger guard. CONDITION: Metal is basically soft, grey patina. Sharp legends. 90% legible naval battle scene on cylinder. All original nipples, safety pins gone. Indexes and locks up correctly. Sharp, well defined rifling. An extremely clean, unaltered US issue Colt Army shipped to the New York Arsenal, November 3rd, 1863 in a 1,000 gun shipment.
