25" Combination rifle/shotgun barrels, and 27-7/8" double shotgun barrels, are fitted with full length matted, solid ribs, both with folding rear sights. Combination barrels are fitted with claw scope bases. Both barrel sets have large open scroll engraving on ejector bolsters, and are stamped with 1968 German proofs on bottoms. Sling loops are soldered to bottom barrels of each set. Top barrel of combination set is fitted with Krieghoff small caliber (.22 Hornet) adapter with space for storage under trap butt. Coin finished double Kersten action features hand detachable sidelocks with gold plated internals, non-automatic safety, pin type cocking indicators, and gold plated double triggers (front set). Sidelocks are accessed by screw with hidden hinged cover on right sideplate. Action is engraved with full coverage varying sized but mostly large open shaded scroll. KRIEGHOFF - ULM" is in arched banner on bottom of action. Trigger guard is of horn. Spectacular fiddle figured European walnut capped pistol grip buttstock measures 12-7/8" over horn buttplate with latch for removal to access storage area with space for sub-caliber device and two rifle cartridges. Stock features hogback comb, shadow line right hand cheekpiece, and skip line point pattern checkering at grip. A sling loop matching that on barrel sets, is on toe line. Matching one piece forend services both barrel sets has Deeley type release. Combination barrel set is fitted with Zeiss Diatal - D 4x rail scope with three post and crosshair reticle in claw rings, rear with windage adjustment. 16 Bore OU barrels: Top: .667 with .025 (Mod), and bottom: .663 with .003 (IC). Wall thickness: .029 top, and bottom .030. Weight: 6 lbs 7 oz. Combination barrels : Top: .667 .024 (Mod), and weight with scope: 8 lbs 3 oz. Paperwork consists of reproduction Krieghoff catalog, copy of specifications for Krieghoff Ulm, and information for Zeiss scopes. CONDITION: Very fine, as nicely reconditioned. Barrels retain nearly all of a good quality re-black. Coin finish of action remains bright. Stocks have old oil refinish with some light subsequent marks. Checkering re-cut. Bores are excellent. Mechanically fine. Ejectors are not supposed to operate on combination barrels, but are strong and in time on shotgun barrels. Scope is very good with numerous light marks in exterior lacquer, with silvering on sharp edges. Optically clear. MGM217.
