Made in 1970 this short tang, square knob Diana Grade skeet gun has 26-1/2" barrels with slightly raised ventilated matted rib. Sides of barrels with usual markings and chamber marking of 2-3/4" and barrels marked for "Skeet" chokes. Point pattern checkered target forend with nicely scroll engraved opener. Made with gold plated single selective trigger, auto ejectors, and non-auto safety. The full knob pistol grip buttstock is of nicely figured walnut and is checkered in a two point pattern through the wrist with gold shield near the toe and terminates with a Browning brand white lined ventilated pad. The action is beautifully engraved by "R.Greco" and signed on right side which shows ducks in pond scene surrounded by floral scroll, the bottom of the action is engraved with two quail in panel, and left side with pheasants, all surrounded by floral scroll work. Housed in a two barrel set brown leather Browning Airways case with fleece lining. Accompanied by a Browning factory letter describing this gun as seen today and being shipped December 4th, 1970. Also accompanied by an original catalog for the gun. CONDITION: Very fine retaining nearly all factory finish to both wood and metal. Barrels retain nearly all of their factory blue. Stocks are very fine with only minor handling marks and retain nearly all factory finishes. The action is excellent with good satin color and well defined engraving. Mechanics are crisp, bores are bright and shiny. The case is very good with some minor soiling.
