This beautiful English made large folding dirk features period Ivory scales with silver bolster and hilt. Maker marked 4 - 1/2" blade marked W (crown) R C CONGREVE PATENT. The ivory has mellowed with age exhibiting a custard hue. This is a superb example of a Civil War period fine English folder. 9 - 3/4" total length. CONDITION: Blade with some minor age freckling but without blade nicks and unsharpened. Ivory is neither chipped nor cracked.
