Simply a classic rifle in a classic caliber. The .375 was developed in 1912 by Holland & Holland and often cited as one of the most useful all around rifle cartridges for large and dangerous game. Developed to take advantage of the then-new smokeless powder. If one was to have only one cartridge for all large game in North America, this would be the intelligent choice. The Model 70 itself needs no introduction as its status as the classic bolt action rifle in unrivaled. Winchester built this rifle using the classic design that includes the straight comb, rollover cheek piece, solid black pad, Super Grade sling swivels; beautiful walnut, hand checkered, oil finished stock; pistol grip with cap, high polish blue finish, hooded ramp front sight, single leaf rear sight (should have used a British style Express sight), jeweled bolts, and engraved double stock reinforcing bolts. Floorplate is engraved "The nearly perfect rifle battery / dangerous game / 4 of 4" and is dated 2012. Grip cap is stamped "SUPER GRADE". CONDITION: Unfired, still retains the original sticker on the barrel. No noticeable flaws of any kind. Comes with the original red and white box.
