Measures 31-1/4" overall with 13" length of pull. Round unmarked smoothbore barrel and diminutive unmarked percussion pistol lock. Plain brass furniture includes crude triggerguard, ramrod entry ferrule, and sideplate. Foremost ramrod ferrule is a period replacement and appears to be early European. Iron buttplate. The full-length stock appears to be ash, applied oval cheekpiece on left side decorated with small incise-carved flower. CONDITION: Barrel and lock retain a dark patina, lock was originally flint. Brass retains a dark mustard patina. Stock with a minor loss on left side, near muzzle. Small section of forend period replaced near muzzle, otherwise a few age cracks and scattered marks. A very attractive child's rifle.
