Lot consists of: (A) The OF series grenades saw service through both World Wars and with several countries. This is an example of the later French OF 35, used from the mid-1930s into World War II. Original HE paint, light corrosion on the Mle 35 fuze, overall in fine condition. (B) A lightweight offensive grenade, this is the French Mle 1937 Offensive. Marked with World War II HE paint, this grenade was introduced in the late 1930s and continued in different variations through the 1970s. It has the Mle 1935 fuze and the body is marked AMY-40. The paint is flaked throughout, and there is light corrosion on the fuze. The body is complete and undented, overall the grenade is in very good condition. (C) One of the countries also utilizing the French designed OF body was Belgium. This is a late 1930’s Belgian OF grenade, with the full designation not known at this time. The grenade uses the large Belgian ACEC 38 fuze (Atelier de Costructions Electriques de Charleroi, now FN Herstal). The grenade is in fine condition with some flaking of the paint and surface corrosion on the fuze.
