Lot consists of (A) Fraternal sword of standard form, blade etched in gilt Charles Taylor. The hilt of silver plated brass, grip elaborately wrapped with gilt wire. CONDITION: Rusted scabbard, faint original gilting on sword, etching is crisp. Grip has darkened csilver plating. Grip is good with all wire intact. (B) 18th Century small sword with triangular blade. Brass hilt with downturned quillons. Rounded pommel missing its D guard. CONDITION: Dark patinated blade, no gilding remaining on brass, all wire for grip missing but two Turk's heads intact. No scabbard. (C) Persian sword of standard form with long single fullered blade and Farsi numbers at ricasso. CONDITION: Blade is dark, scabbard is missing it's throat, shows dents, and is generally distressed. (D) German Eagle Head Officer's sword of standard pattern with gilt brass hilt, wire wrapped plastic grip, and black painted scabbard. CONDITION: Crisp, shiny blade with minor erosion at throat, easily removed. Hilt retains considerable original gilding, grip wire is intact. Scabbard is slightly corroded but shows considerable original black enamel paint.
