Lot consists of: (A) A hand-filling skinning knife, etched "Safari Skinner II" and the maker's etch on the blade. The brush-finished blade features its original edge, a polished brass guard, dovetailed and contoured palm wood stabilized handles with brass center Loveless bolts. No sheath. CONDITION: Mint condition with lightly tarnished brass guard, easily polished to new. (B) A straight-back, mirror finished skinning knife with its original edge. Blade is etched "Thourot" over "MWT" over "Napoleon, OH". The knife is accented by a polished guard, dovetailed and well-contoured antler handles secured with Loveless bolts. No sheath. CONDITION: Unused. Handle shows moderate shrinking, with light cracking on one scale. (C) A mirror finished skinning knife with its original edge. Maker's etch is on the reverse side of the blade. The knife is highlighted with a polished guard, dovetailed and well-contoured antler handles that are secured with Loveless bolts. The bear etch is reflected in a wood display box with matching serialized drawing. Etch and drawing by Bechtoz. Set is numbered 7 of 50. No sheath. CONDITION: Knife is new and unused. Natural handles show moderate shrinkage. (D) A straight-back, mirror finished skinning knife with its original edge. Maker's etch on the mark side of the blade, with a wolf etch on the reverse. The knife is highlighted with a polished guard, dovetailed and well-contoured stag handles that are secured with Loveless bolts. The wolf etch is reflected in a wood display box with matching serialized drawing. Etch and drawing by Bechtoz - no. 7 of 75. Knife is numbered no. 015. No sheath. CONDITION: Knife is new and unused. Natural handles show moderate shrinkage. Mike Thourot (MWT Custom Knives) of Napoleon, Ohio has been designing and crafting knives for well over 35 years. Mr. Thourot always and continues to craft each of his knives by hand, so no two are alike. For him, knives simply are "...fun to use...fun to design, and...fun to make."
