(A) Hunting knife with carved walrus ivory handle featuring a mountain lion with glass eyes. Nickel silver guard with wound copper wire securing the handle at the front end. Upswept clip point blade with most of the marking obscured, leaving what appears to be the bottom of OLEAN at the bottom of the stamp (for Union Cutlery Co., Olean, NY). Leather sheath. Circa 1910s-1940s. CONDITION: Blade and handle likely a marriage, wire repair secures cracked area on front of handle, blade with signs of sharpening and use. Well made sheath a period replacement. 4-3/8" blade, 8-1/2" overall. (B+C+D) Three piece walrus ivory carving set by Michael Price, marked on carving knife M PRICE, [S]AN FRAN. Other pieces unmarked, but all carry matching monogram "G" and silver ferrules with floral engraving. c. 1856-1889. CONDITION: Knife blade with extensive sharpening and wear, one crack in handle, crack in fork handle, minor age cracks in steel handle. Knife with 8-3/4" blade, 14-7/8" overall. (E+F) Russell two piece carving set with walrus ivory handles carved with a full alligator on each, complete with glass eyes, both monogrammed "W". c. 1880s-early 1900s. CONDITION: Handles in perfect condition, knife blade with sharpening and use. Etched Russell marking is weak.
