This sporting rifle was built in the classic Griffin & Howe style using a Mauser action and barreled to the .257 Weatherby cartridge. It features the wrap around front sight with no provision for a rear barrel sight. It sports a Redfield scope with G&H style quick release side mounts and no visible screws. The stock is a true classic hand checkered walnut with black forend tip and straight comb with graceful roll-over cheek piece and finished with a Niedner steel butt-plate. Bob Wallack was the gunsmith, rifle maker, and also an excellent BR competitor. Holmes was the stockmaker. Together they produced some beautiful firearms of which this is a stand-out. CONDITION: Near new inside and out as custom built. A stunning rifle in all respects.
