Mono-blocked 28" barrels with raised, ventilated rib are marked with Krieghoff Ulm address with no importers or dealers marks. Barrel flats are stamped with 1972 Ulm nitro proofs. Coin finished over/under action with blocked out safety and single selective trigger, is engraved in San Remo style with near full coverage large open scrolling acanthus in dot shaded background. This attractive scroll surrounds scenes of game and dogs on sides; pointer pointing a pair of flushing grouse on left, and a trio of ducks taking wing from marsh on right. Blued trigger guard bow has flush gold inlaid borders around central relief gold flushing quail. Locking slide on top of action is blued and relief gold and silver inlaid with a stooping eagle, talons outstretched. This inlay is signed "GC" (Gino Cargnel). Pointer and grouse scene is signed "HV". Nicely crotch figured American walnut steel capped pistol grip Monte Carlo buttstock measures 14 - 1/4" over black Old English pad. Point pattern checkering is at grip. Coin finished steel grip cap is engraved with initials "FK". Matching one piece semi-beavertail type forend has Krieghoff's Deeley type release. Gun is housed in dark brown metal case with "K" stenciled on top. Interior is lined in dark blue velvet, and has tube sets for 20, 28, and .410 gauges in top compartment under dividing flap. Bottom section holds action and barrels and contains tube installation tools and a pull-through cleaning kit. CONDITION: Excellent, with evidence of considerable use. Barrels retain nearly all of their original blue, with two or three light marks where visible, and quite a few marks from assembly and disassembly under forend. Action retains nearly all of its coin finish with some marking on bottom from contact with forend. Stocks retain over 95% of their original finish, with a few light scratches and a couple of heavier dings. Checkering lightly worn. Bores are excellent. Action is tight. Mechanically fine. Tube set is excellent. Case is excellent. MGM 131
