This is a very scarce Marlin rifle. Magazine held 18 rounds and shot shorts, longs, and long rifle rimfire ammo. This is the highest serial number that we are aware of on this model. Features cyanide case color frame, and checkered walnut buttstock and forend. It has a round barrel with nearly full length magazine tube. The rear sight is a simple wind drift leaf with dove-tail post front sight. The buttplate is steel carbine type. It is a takedown as well. CONDITION: This has got to be one of the finest condition Model 47's in the hobby. The frame retains at least 95% of it's original bright colors on the sides having drifted to soft patina on top and bottom. The barrel and tube retain almost all of the original blue with the only visible wear from were the slide was operated. The stocks are near mint with razor sharp checkering and only the lightest of impressions. The rifling is sharp. This rifle is simply fabulous in all respects.
