A beautiful Venere Extra 20 bore Italian made gun with proof marks indicating the gun was built in 1981. The gun exhibits the great craftsmanship and beauty that Mario Abbiatico and Remo Salvinelli became known for. This gun with 26 -3/4" chopper lump barrels, game concave rib to a single steel bead is a fine example of their work. Craftsmen's names are on rear lump. The single mechanical trigger non-auto safe, side lock ejector action with set disc strikers is embellished with lovely coin finished game scenes by A. Galeazzi. Left lockplate with a Setter flushing a grouse, right plate flying quail and bottom action engraved with a brace of woodcock in woods. Nicely figured stock with fine checkered straight hand grip, gold inlaid initials and checkered butt. Splinter forend with scroll engraved hardware, A&S shield and Anson release. Leather case with extra strikers, springs in the striker pot and oil bottle. CONDITION: Very nice with barrels retaining 90% of their blue. Stock with small chips, marks to butt and some handling marks. Forend with very light handling marks. Gun locks up tight. CP
