Contemporary engraved antique smokeless powder Single Action Army revolver with transverse lock. Roll die marked "Colt Frontier Six Shooter", 4 - 3/4" barrel, .44-40 caliber. Rampant Colt motif on frame. Very nicely engraved in a mixture of factory style patterns, engraver unknown. Two piece Mother of Pearl grips with right panel engraved with stylized Mexican Eagle motif. CONDITION: Excellent overall with most all refinished nickel plating remaining. Non-original screws and grips. Action is crisp and cylinder locks up solid. Bore has scattered pitting. -MKS-
