1873 Springfield Trapdoor carbine made in 1882. Carbine style stock with "P" in circle and "SWP" 1881 stock cartouche with trap in butt housing cleaning rod and broken case extractor. "C" marked rear sight with fixed front. Breech block marked "US Model 1873" lock marked "US Springfield 1873". Gun appears to be an original carbine. CONDITION: Reblued metal parts with shootable bore and good mechanics. Wood has reapplied finish with light handling marks.
