Lot consists of: High polish Colts made in 1904 with all the early features. Both have the Browning patent on left side of slide, flat plunger, early magazine release, and early front sights. (A) Correct original Type I grips. CONDITION: Retains a large amount of the early high polish finish. The left side of slide and frame retain approximately 40% original blue while the right side retains about 80% as does the front grip strap. Balance of finish is simply a flaked soft gray patina. The grips are excellent. The magazine is all blue with non-stamped high polish base. Fine bore and action. (B) Has a replaced incorrect type rear sight. Grips are post 1911 Type II. It has a later caliber stamped base magazine. CONDITION: There is no original finish remaining and is basically a dull grey patina. Grips are excellent. Fine bore and action.
