Saginaw Division of General Motors manufactured M1 carbine with Saginaw marked barrel with no date. Serial number indicates late 1943 or early 1944 production. All parts consistent with Saginaw production. Push button safety. Wood high wood stock with "SG" in square and crossed cannons on right side of stock and "RSG" in sling well. Correct rear flip sight and fixed front. Comes with reproduction green woven sling and oiler and muzzle cover. Gun has 15 round late style clip. Great World War II carbine. CONDITION: Overall good with shootable bore (ME of 2). Good mechanics. 80% arsenal finish remaining with light handling marks. Non-import uncut gun. From the Mel Hrubetz collection.
