This has got to be one of the last old school 1894 Saddle Ring Carbines made. This gun was made in 1937, which is about the time they switched to ramp front sights, fluted combs on the stock, and eliminated the saddle ring. This gun is the classic style normally seen on pre-1930 models with post front sight, non-fluted comb, folding leaf rear sight, saddle ring & stud with carbine buttplate and walnut stocks in the classic .30 caliber. CONDITION: Outstanding. The blue on all metal is a solid 95% with some minor age freckles and some minor high edge wear only with exception to the brown patina on buttplate. The wood is proud to metal with just a few minor handling marks. The bore is near mint. It is immediately obvious that this carbine has seen little use. From the Mel Hrubetz collection.
