Features include round barrel with dovetailed inverted V front sight, V notch rear sight on rear link, thumb safety marked "GESICHERT" in the upper position, extractor marked "GELADEN", front toggle link marked "DWM" in script. Double date stamped over the chamber 1920/1918. CONDITION: Side plate is mismatched. Grips, takedown lever and firing pin are not numbered. The World War Two blue tin magazine has an aluminum bottom marked "42 and a "STICK EAGLE 655" Waffenampt. Checkered grips are worn with no chips or cracks. Pore bore with frosting. Featured in Jan C. Stills book WEIMAR LUGERS on page 127. Here is the excerpt from the book: "Figure 35H. Police 1920/1918 DWM, serial number 6212a, retaining Imperial proofs and Weimar E/ArA4 proofs (note: mismatched side plate). Its front strap is marked S.B.111.2.42 (Schutzpolizei Berlin Group Sud III) whitch is crossed out and replaced with S.B. 10152. This signifies Schutzpolizei Berlin weapon number 10152. This police luger lacks a sear safety (very rare); which may indicate transfer to the Army prior to the police installation of the sear safety on such Lugers during the mid-1930's. (p.25) B. Fountain collection". Comes in a police style holster that has seen lots of use. It has an S.B.11235 unit mark on it that was added much later on. RW
