Manufactured 1973. This lovely MP5A3 has the retracting two lug stock, four position trigger pack with push pin. Composite forend has been cut to allow the addition of a RM Equipment M203 attachment piece which incorporates a five vent muzzle brake, grenade launcher sight, and two attachment points. Top of receiver marked "HK MP5 Kal. 9mmx19 87070 9/73", right side of magazine well marked "Made in Germany / Excl. for SACO / Arl. Va. 22 209". Early 1972 straight magazine. Hammer marked "3". Bolt carrier marked "HK 9/73". M203 is rifled, 40mm with polymer forend, and a plastic tube cover. CONDITION: Very good, with bumps and bruises from usage, most noticeable on the stock but also on the receiver. Bolt carrier is turning plum at extraction port. Bore is excellent, bright and shiny with sharp rifling, bolt face is near excellent with some evidence of firing residue. Mechanics are crisp. The MP5 has always been one of the most desirable of the select fire machine guns, and the clever addition of an M203 makes this even more desirable.
