Lot consists of: (A) M1875 USMC officer's Mameluke sword and scabbard. Sword retains crisp etched motifs and makers mark on the ricasso "ARMY & NAVY COOPERATIVE WASHINGTON D.C.". Grips are ivory with hairline cracks and larger glue repair at pommel. Scabbard is nickeled steel with brass drag and rings. Original russet leather knot is fragile but still attached. Sword is not named. CONDITION: Very good. Slight age toning to brass. Damage to pommel as noted. (B) M1902 US Army officer's dress sword with nickeled steel scabbard. Blade has etched blade presentation with thin gold wash, "Presented to 1st Lieut. Henry Hawley Lynch by his friends" obverse, and " "A. & H.A. Co. 1922" on reverse. A nice presentation to a member of Boston's Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company. CONDITION: Very good overall. (BM/SR). PROVENANCE: From the Collection of George M. Rapport.
