Civil War Cavalry Carbine, made by Edward Gwyn and Abner Campbell between 1863-1864 for total of 4,000 carbines. CONDITION: Near mint, with 90-95% bright case color on frame, hammer and lever. 95% bright fire blue on upper tang and loading gate. 95-98% original blue on barrel. 98% original blue on buttplate. Wood is near mint showing little wear and strong inspector cartouches. Proper sub-inspection stamps in correct locations. Would be most difficult to improve on -MKS-
