Likely made in the late 1860's by H.V. Perry, this is an interesting New York made percussion two barrel set. Barrel set A is 28" long, O/U 20 bore barrels (measures .620) with ramrod on right side and is finished brown. Barrel set 2 is approximately .38 caliber over 20 bore and is marked "H.V. Perry / Fredonia, NY" and also has ramrod on side. Back action locks, double triggers, and large buckhorn sight on top tang. Trigger guard made of brass. Tiger striped stock with brass patchbox on sides, brass buttplate and brass fitting to 1" period stock extension. Housed in a black painted period wood box with wadcutters and other accessories. CONDITION: Very fine. Barrels retain about 75% of what appears to be original browning. Locks are mostly gray with mere hints of color on left. Stocks are very good with minor handling marks. Bores are surprisingly good. Case is fair with wear and markings but has obviously done a good job of preserving the contents. Accessories are good to very good. Altogether a rare unit worthy of a hard look. JSL
