Manufactured 1856. Colt Model 1851 Navy, .36 Cal, with New York address. Blue and case color finish with one piece walnut varnish stocks and Ormsby naval cylinder scene. Cased in period Colt pattern case with dark burgundy lining and Colt patriotic flask, dual cavity Colt's Patent mold, and Eley Brothers cap tin with paper label. CONDITION: Very fine as restored. Bore is excellent with sharp rifling. Cylinder scene is clearly visible and well defined. All numbers are matching including wedge. Grips are full sized with slight refinish evident. Frame retains over 50% faded case colors. Bore and mechanics are excellent. Case is equally fine with contemporary finish and fresh lining. Very attractive pre-Civil War Navy Colt. TDW
