Just an absolutely beautiful matching Swedish K machine gun with visible matching numbers complete with Swedish crown proofs. One green web sling and one 36 round magazine are included with this high quality and very desirable machine gun. This specimen retains the detachable magazine housing which enables this gun to use either the standard 36 round magazines or the 50 round coffin magazines. One can see several desirable features from earlier machine gun designs. Sights are reminiscent of the PPsH-41. Full-auto only operation with slotted receiver tube cut-out for bolt to be held to the rear as on the MP-40, and folding wire-loop shoulder brace much like the Madsen. Bolt may be locked in the closed position by pressing in the cocking handle. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent original smooth gun metal gray finish with attractive near mint wood grips exhibiting only slight handling marks. Mechanics are crisp. Bore is near excellent shiny and bright. Bolt face extremely fine. Magazine has deep lustrous blue finish. For twenty years the Swedish M/45 (Swedish K) was the standard sub machine gun for Sweden, and it gained much favor and admiration world-wide as a slow-firing, low recoil machine gun with exceptional feeding reliability and high magazine capacity. This cataloger knows more than one Vietnam war Veteran who used one of these guns in combat considers this model, “The best submachine gun ever”. Pretty difficult to upgrade the condition of this specimen, and the fact that it retains the detachable magazine housing only enhances the desirability of this particular gun.
