The German government placed an order for approximately 150,000 of these pistols in early 1916, of which most were finished prior to the war's end. You will find the German imperial eagle on face of magazine well, the distinctive red 9 burned into the grips indicating it is chambered for the standard 9mm cartridge, 50-500 yard adjustable rear sight, military blue finish and a 5 - 1/2" barrel. This gun made its way to England and has all the usual English proof marks as well as stamped "not English Make" stamped on frame. All visible numbers are matching. CONDITION: Superb condition with at least 90% of its original war-time factory blue finish. Fine bore and action. The original wood shoulder stock/holster also has the matching serial number with German proof on left side. The original leather holder is stamped Wunderlich Nache Berlin 1916 on back and the wood handle cleaning rod is included. The entire rig is in excellent condition. DB
