Manufactured by Kokura, this is one of only 9,000 Series One Type 44 carbines that were manufactured by Kokura. Matching numbers include: receiver, bolt, bolt cocking knob, floorplate, and bayonet housing. Extractor and ejector housing are numbered "622". Firing pin is unnumbered, with the rear sight ladder being numbered "116". Chrysanthemum has been scrubbed, but is still plainly visible. Later third variation bayonet housing with three drain holes on the bottom of the forestock, which is correct for these later variation Type 44 carbines. Butt trap has correct later variation metal sleeved compartment, rods are not present. Internal components still retain cosmoline. CONDITION: Metal components retain vast majority of blued finish, aside from minor wear at the muzzle and a scratch above the ejector housing. Stocks show minor indentations all around, with the majority of markings being on the buttstock. Bright bore with good rifling throughout. MW
