Lot consists of: (A) German World War II early city police shako, (B) German World War II city police shako, and (C) German World War II rural police shako. (A) Early city Polizei Tschako with a full black leather lacquered body with no visible markings. Leather body exhibits only light scrapes to less than 2% of its surface, with light dust and appears to have been unissued. Patent leather top and leather trim are lightly aged. The black vulkanfibre front and rear visors present some very light wear and almost indistinguishable crazing, with the undersides in a dark green crosshatch pattern. Aluminum front plate is attached with aluminum screws and nuts, and along with the aluminum cockade present only very light wear. All four vent screens are present, the lightly worn black leather chinstrap has aluminum fittings, and the aluminum mounting posts are intact. Red brown leather liner is intact with only light wear and age, with the original drawstring. CONDITION: Excellent to near mint. (B) Wartime city Polizei Tschako with a Feldgrau wool body with several light areas of moth tracking near the side posts, which do not detract from its overall condition. Black patent leather top and body trim present light wear. The black vulkanfibre front and rear visors present some very light wear and almost indistinguishable crazing, with the undersides in a dark green. Aluminum front plate is attached with aluminum washers, brass screws and nuts, and along with the aluminum cockade present only very light wear. All four vent screens and two sliding closures are present, the lightly worn black leather chinstrap has aluminum fittings, and the aluminum mounting posts are intact. Tan leather liner is intact with only light wear and age, with the original drawstring. Paper nametag to "Heiks" and manufacturer's decal of "HANS ROMER, Echt Fiber Tschako, NEW - ULM (Donau)" with a size "57 - 1/2" are present in the center. CONDITION: Excellent to near mint. (C) Wartime rural Polizei Tschako with a Feldgrau wool body with very light nap wear throughout. Brown patent leather top has light scuffing, and brown leather body trim have moderate heat damage and crazing. The brown vulkanfibre front and rear visors present some very light wear and almost indistinguishable crazing. The undersides are in a dark green finish with approximately 50% wear combined, revealing the brown core. Aluminum front plate is attached with aluminum washers, brass screws and nuts, and along with the aluminum cockade present only very light wear. Cockade is marked "F.W. ASSMANN & SOHNE, LUDENSCHEID" along with their trademark "A". All four vent screens and two sliding closures are present, the light to moderately worn black leather chinstrap has aluminum fittings, and the aluminum mounting posts are intact. Tan leather liner is intact with only light wear, mildew stains,and age, with the original leather drawstring. White ink stamping of "C. Pose, Berlin, 56 - 1/2" is present in the center.
