These diminutive rifles were produced for U.S. Air Force crews, with the intent being that they could be used to hunt for food in the event of a crash. It folds on a hinge, bringing it down to a 15" length. The stock holds a folding compartment that could hold 9 rounds of .22 Hornet and 4 rounds of .410. There is a knurled selector that can be pulled up or pushed down in order to choose which barrel is fired. Iron sights are a fixed blade front and a flip rear sight, one a v-notch marked "410", and the other is a ghost ring marked "22". Squeeze trigger. Marked on left side of the breech "U.S.A.F. PROPERTY / 130842 / RIFLE-SHOTGUN. SURVIVAL / CAL. .22/.410. M6". Right side with "ITHACA GUN CO., INC. ITHACA, N.Y. / (Ordnance Cannons) / P.A.". CONDITION: Very good, retaining the vast majority of its parkerized finish with some scuffs to exterior of compartment and some handling and operation marks on the gun. Some silvering at pivot points and on bottom of magazine compartment. .22 bore is fine, bright and shiny with sharp rifling, .410 bore is very good, with some minor pitting.
