Lot consists of: (A) Luftwaffe Officer sword, and (B) Luftwaffe 2nd Model dagger. (A) Luftwaffe sword with a "SMF, Solingen" marked 28" nickel plated blade with moderate freckling to 40-45% of its nickel finish. Blue leather grip retains more than 90% of its finish, and the coiled wire wrap is undamaged. Aluminum fittings are excellent and retain approximately 95% of the gilt finish on the emblems. Blue leather scabbard is near mint with more than 95% of its blue finish. Aluminum fittings are excellent, and the correct hangar is present in 90% condition. CONDITION: Blade is in good condition, while the fittings and scabbard are excellent to near mint. (B) Luftwaffe 2nd model dagger with a "F. W. Holler" marked nickel plated blade with light runner and scattered marks, and freckling to less than 5% of its surface. A couple of tiny nicks are present on its edges. White trylon grip has light staining and the wire wrap exhibits light damage. Aluminum fittings have a nice age patina. Steel scabbard has patina throughout and a marked hangar in excellent condition is attached. CONDITION: Excellent condition overall. WZ
