Steyr manufactured German MP-40 machine gun marked "bnz 41" on end cap with numerous Nazi proof marks throughout. Barrel, barrel nut, and receiver tube do match. Otherwise upper and lower assemblies do not match serial numbers, nor do the other parts match. Barrel resting bar not present. This gun is a Pre-86 dealer sample which has been professionally refinished in a pleasing gray finish. Accessories include four original 32 round magazines. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish of gun is near excellent as refinished. Magazines are good with some brown patina and light pitting, but appear serviceable. Bakelite has typical handling marks. Mechanics are fine. Bore is extremely fine shiny and bright. Bolt face is extremely fine. This is a fully automatic only machine gun. An ideal specimen for an FFL/SOT dealer to take to the range, and then keep privately when they relinquish their license. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS MACHINE GUN IS TRANSFERABLE ONLY TO ACTIVE FFL/SOT DEALERS ON AN ATF FORM 3 BUT MAY BE RETAINED BY SOLE PROPRIETOR FFL/SOT HOLDERS WHEN THEY RELINQUISH THEIR LICENSES UPON BATF APPROVAL.
