Handel desk lamp has obverse-painted scene of trees hanging over a stream, all against a mottled green, yellow and amber sky. The shade is further decorated by reverse-painted trees visible in an opening between the obverse-painted trees, giving the scene a wonderful 3-D effect. The loaf shade is housed in a Handel two-arm base with rich brown finish. The shade is signed on the interior "HANDEL 6318". Base is unsigned. Shade is in very good to excellent condition, base is very good, with some minor blistering to finish. Rewired with appropriate cloth cord. Size: Shade 7 - 3/4" W., lamp 14" T.
