Early 20th Century. American. The case, with scrolling crestwork and impressed with a griffin head, having a central shelf on a scrolled support above a shaped mirror with beveled plate. The case fitted with a display cabinet with bowed door with curved glass, flanked by a desk unit with hinged lid. The lid impressed with scrollwork above a single drawer above a cupboard door. The case with quartersawn oak veneers. The cabinet raised on frontal scroll legs. The cabinet has been refinished within the last 20 years and now has a patinated golden oak surface. Size: 68 - 1/2" T. x 37" W. Condition: Surface is refinished as noted, structurally very good with no reconstruction or restoration of any form. The bowfront glass door panel appears original as does the beveled mirror plate; very good overall.
