Lot consists of: (A) German M35 Camo Combat Helmet, (B) M34 German Police Helmet with chinstrap, and (C) M34 German Police Helmet without Chinstrap. (A) The German M35 Camouflage Combat Helmet retains approximately 90% of the camouflage paint on it. The helmet's Heer decal has been painted around, and the Tri-Color Shield can be seen peaking through areas where the paint has chipped away. Wear and scattered light marks can be seen throughout the exterior of the helmet. The camouflage on the exterior may not be period applied. All three of the liner retention pins are intact and appear to be painted with the same camo color as the helmet. The interior skirt of the helmet is stamped on the right side with the maker and size code of “EF62”, and on the rear of the helmet's interior skirt with the lot number of “21516”. The helmet's liner is a modern replacement. CONDITION: Very good. (B) The M34 German Police Helmet with Chinstrap is stamped of steel sheet metal and was painted black. Approximately 95% of the original gloss black paint remains. The top of the helmet has three metal filler discs in place that were used to fill the holes of the comb that once adorned the helmet. These metal discs are most likely applied during the period. The Police Decal and Party Shield rate nearly 95% intact. All four of the liner retention pins are in place and appear unmolested. The interior of the helmet is painted in the same gloss black as the exterior. The leather liner system is intact, with the exception of the dome pad, and retains its original chinstrap. There appears to be a shoelace used as the liner’s drawstring, this is common to see in helmets used during the period. CONDITION: Excellent. (C) The M34 German Police Helmet without Chinstrap is stamped of steel sheet metal and was painted black. The leather liner system is completely intact and shows signs of daily wear and sweat on the brow area. There is no drawstring present. CONDITION: Excellent. D.W.
