Manufactured 1893. Matching full numbers on both barrel stages, sideplate, rear of cylinder, front of loading gate, cylinder axis pin; matching last three digits on hammer assembly, trigger guard, both grip scales; last two matching on cylinder stop, grip escutcheons, and mainspring; other numbers obscured by patination. Back strap with two regimental markings: "R.S.17.153" and "25.A.E.2.55.", the latter crossed out. Accompanied by an appropriate Reichsrevolver holster with pouch on front for 12 rounds, maker marked for Kinkel, 1913. CONDITION: Good, with plenty of visible bluing with consistent patina speckling throughout. Barrel is largely now dove grey, with some blue in protected areas. Hammer, forcing cone appropriately in the white. Operates correctly, bore is very good, bright and shiny, with good rifling and some scattered roughness, mostly towards the muzzle. Grips are full sized with some marks from handling and use. Holster is very good, leather is supple, and complete with some scattered areas of abrasion. Rear two straps may be a replacement. EW
