This steel mounted New Land Pattern pistol is devoid of government proofs and was probably made for militia or private purchase. The round barrel has English proofs on the top near breech. The flat lockplate is stamped in the center with a large crown and is stamped "TOWER" at the tail. The lock has a reinforced cock, double line borders, fire blued frizzen spring, a roller frizzen, and a waterproof pan. The pistol has plain steel furniture in the New Land Pattern style. Swivel ramrod attached at muzzle. Semi-full stock of plain walnut. CONDITION: All steel components have been cleaned and are bright in the European fashion. Fire blued frizzed spring retains nearly all of its original finish. Action is crisp and tight. Stock is excellent with a few light storage marks. DMG
