Made by John Moses Browning in Ogden, Utah. This Model 1878 has blued unmarked rifled octagon barrel with globe front sight, plugged rear sight dovetail and Vernier tang sight. Case hardened action with "S" lever. Walnut checkered Schuetzen style stock with nickeled Swiss buttplate and cheek piece. Walnut checkered forearm with ebony inlay. CONDITION: Metal has silvery patina finish with light pitting. Shootable bore. Wood has traces of original finish with pieced toe repair. Good mechanics. DLM
