Finely made gun with short tang round knob configured stock made in 1969. Made with low profile ventilated matted top rib and barrels with Imp. Cyl. & Mod. choke markings. Round nosed forend checkered in point pattern with engraved release. Coin finished action, signed by Severin on both sides, is engraved in beautiful Diana pattern with ducks in marsh on right, pheasants in woods on right, two quail on bottom, and rabbits on trigger guard bow all surrounded by well cut leaf scroll. Factory quality replacement buttstock is checkered in proper Diana Grade pattern with gold oval near toe and terminates with a Browning hard rubber buttplate. Housed in an original Browning Airways case. CONDITION: Excellent overall. Stocks appear to be a factory quality period replacement and retain virtually all of their proper finish, likely they were replaced early on as part of the salt era, though this gun shows absolutely no evidence of any salt damage in any way. Barrels retain nearly all of their original blue and action retains nearly all of its proper original gray finish. Case is excellent with minor rubs. Box is very good with scuffs and corner rounding and does not have an end label further indicating it was the box used to ship the gun back to the original buyer from the factory when the stocks were replaced. Overall, a great Superposed!
