Lot consists of (A) Made in 1959 this Grade 1 Lightning with 28" barrels that have low profile matted ventilated top rib. Round nose forend checkered in point pattern on sides. Blued action engraved in typical Grade 1 pattern. Long tang round knob buttstock checkered in point pattern with Browning composition buttplate. Made with single selective trigger, auto ejectors, and non auto safety. CONDITION: Very good. Barrels retain about 95% of an older restored finish. Action with about 85% original blue. Stocks are excellent and sound and retain most of an older restored finish with checkering lightly filled in. Bores are bright and shiny. Mechanics are fine. (B) Made in 1973 this Grade 1 Lightning with matted low profile ventilated top rib with steel front bead. Round nose forend is checkered on sides with blued latch release. Action is engraved in standard Grade 1 pattern. Gold plated single selective trigger, auto ejectors, non-auto safety. Buttstock with long tang trigger guard an flat knob grip is checkered in two point pattern through the wrist and terminates with a leather covered pad. CONDITION: Excellent retaining more than 90% original finish to both wood and metal. Bores are bright and shiny. Mechanics are crisp. JSL
