Full length, octagon, smoothbore barrel with engraved brass front sight and brass rear sight. Double lines engraved in front of and behind each sight. Top flat inscribed "P & D Moll Hellerstown No 142". Engraved lockplate stamped "LONDON WARRANTED". Brass trigger and trigger floorplate with classic brass Lehigh County trigger guard and sideplate terminating in the back with an arrow. Classic Moll two piece patchbox with simple engraved borders. Small toeplate in the shape of a Liberty cap. Faux striped maple stock in the classic Lehigh form with a stepped wrist. Complete with its original wooden ramrod. CONDITION: Barrel retains a brown patina with scattered light pitting and heavier pitting at breech. Reconverted lock is a replacement and retains a mostly brown surface. Brass retains a mellow patina and shows some corrosion and scattered marks from use. Stock retains nearly all of its original finish with some scattered age cracks and minor areas flaked. One sliver replaced along bottom of lockplate. One lock retaining screw is absent and lock does not function properly. There are a few splinters missing on the left side of the forend. A very attractive signed Lehigh rifle. DMG
