Manufactured in 1943 by Waffenwerke Bruenn in Bystrica, Czechoslovakia. Receiver is marked "dou" over "43" on the chamber, with waffenamts on the top and left side of the receiver ring. Matching numbers include the receiver, trigger, bolt, safety, bolt stop housing, barrel, rear sight, forward and rear barrel bands, floorplate, trigger guard, and the laminated stock and handguard, which are numbered on the interior. Complete with cleaning rod and unmarked period leather sling. CONDITION: Metal components retain plentiful amounts of arsenal applied blue finish, with patina showing through all around. Bore is bright with strong rifling throughout, showing small areas of cleaned pitting. Wood components retain majority of applied finish and show few and minor indentations all around. A fine and matching K98 manufactured during WWII that would make for a fine addition to any enthusiast's collection. MW
