This is an original helmet worn by live monkeys at traveling carnivals where they often raced in small metal and wood cars. The helmet is in amazing condition with full leather interior and netting used to hold the helmet on the monkey. There are some rubs to the exterior and signs of wear, but otherwise a great piece of early carnival memorabilia. Comes with a photo of a race, and several other piece of related research.
