Two fantastic Black Americana heads that were used in travelling carnivals as ring toss or ball toss games. The first of the two is an early carved wood with original paint. The second is a very early paper mache. The eyes of this figure are set so they remain open when standing up and closed when knocked down. The figure uses a bottle for the base, forming the neck of the example. The accentuated lips are typical of the early travelling carnival games. The first of the two has some paint loss consistent with age and use and does not distract from the old, original look. Condition on both is great considering the age and intended use.
Condition: (Good - Very Good).
Item Dimensions: Each: 10" x 8" x 5 - 1/2".
