The first, Howard Sterling, with tapered hexagonal sides applied with flowers and two butterflies and engraved with two Japanese characters; the second, Whiting, with a vase form body engraved with floral sprays with gilt highlights on a matted ground; the third, Reed & Barton, with an octagonal body decorated with raised scrolls and floral swags.
