Ca. 1870-75. Oval with a chased band of Classical figures on a matted ground, tapering to chased acanthus leaves over a molded foot with a Greek key rim, the hinged lid over a double compartment interior with a cast figure of a cherub playing a reed pipe. Union Square mark.
