Serial number 8919 manufactured in 1862. 5 - 1/2" barrel with one line New York address. 5 shot rebated cylinder with stagecoach holdup scene. Varnished one piece walnut grips. Blue with case hardened frame and hammer. Complete with walnut partition style fitted case with purple interior. Includes correct Colt bullet mold, powder flask, combination tool, and Hick's percussion cap tin. Matching serial numbers on barrel, frame, trigger guard, backstrap, cylinder, and wedge. Loading lever not numbered. CONDITION: Excellent overall with most high polish blue remaining on barrel and approximately 50-60% on cylinder. Good traces of case color on frame and hammer turning a grey/brown patina. Approximately 35-40% silver plating on trigger guard, no remaining silver on backstrap with brass turning a pleasing mustard color patina. Case is fine with a crack in the lid, interior is clean with moderate wear. Bullet mold, powder flask, and combination tool are excellent with most original finish remaining. Overall a very attractive early Model 1862 Pocket Navy with desirable 5 - 1/2" barrel. - MKS-
